This last weekend Ryan went snow camping with the Elders Quorum, well at least 5 or 6 of them. He said it was cold but beautiful. After looking at these pictures I am sure glad I was home warm in my bed even though I had a coughing 103.7 degree kid sleeping with me (he tried to sleep and I stayed awake worrying).
Dean as you know you are a bit more ok a lot more adventurous than I (as most people are) but when you fall into that frozen lake/pond please don't let my husband drowned with you, since he will try to save you. See the link below.... I just have one question. Did you remember that you have a wife and kids when you climbed out there?Andrea I hope you have life insurance on this guy! :)

For my Birthday (a couple of weeks ago) we went to my favorite restaurant Maltby Cafe and had breakfast with our good friends Kerri and Enoch. Then we spent the rest of the day kicking back, playing rock band and letting the kids play. It was a good relaxing day.

For New Years Eve we had a pajama party. It was a lot of fun! We ate breakfast of coffee cake, company potatoes, fruit, cider, hot cocoa and a ton of goodies including Oreo truffles that Karissa made. We had a blast playing Rock Band II. We did miss our awesome drummers though (Val and Andy). Our band wasn't complete with our out-of-towners not there!

The newest addition to our family
Caison Daniel Robinson
(for those of you who don' t know - my sister Janae's baby)
December 10th at 9:21am. He weighed in at 8 lbs. 15.4 oz. and just over 21 inches long.

Okay so I am still catching up...
Yearly Christmas agenda:
-Wake up way to early to see what Santa brought us
-Open presents
-Play with new toys while mom is getting breakfast ready which usually includes a sweet breakfast bread of some sort, company potatoes and hot cocoa.
-Go to great grandma Hale's to visit; grandmas aunts, uncles and cousins (we always forget to take pictures there) and have a late lunch
-Go to grandpa and grandma Carter's to have family exchange gifts, more visiting, eat more and have fun. This year we played mom & dad's new game of catch phrase which is not like the older versions. It is a phrase now and not just a word so its a little more difficult but non the less we still ended laughing so hard that we cried.
-Go home and get crying kids into bed (crying due to exhaustion and wanting to play with new toys)
-Mom and dad plop into bed glad that the Christmas presents are over with but sad that there didn't seem to be enough time to study and reflect on the Savior like we wanted to.

For Christmas 2007 everyone that was at home (still living at Dad & Moms) made a graham cracker ginger bread house. They were great and looked like fun so this year we had a little contest (well the contest part didn't work out so well. Due to the snow Kerianne wasn't able to get out and pick up ribbons). Who ever wanted to make a graham cracker ginger bread house needed to bring it on Christmas day to Dad & Moms and those living away needed to send pictures. Here they are......

Better late then never right? Here are a few pics and a video of our fun in the snow.
The video is from a fun filled day at Grandpa and Grandma Carter's house. A few days prior of us going over Brent was bored from snow days and started to build a ski slope with the help of Kevin (Karissa's boyfriend). For all that have not been over to the house the top of the slope is the top of a set of stairs then over some grass, down another set of stairs and down a little path where they added a jump. Ryan who hasn't been on his snowboard since Evan was first born decided to try it out :). Ryan made me try to board the hill the boys were sledding down but I don't snow board. Having three children means no stomach muscles and my legs aren't strong enough to keep me up. I'll stick with snowmobiles. Hey Brent maybe you can use construction of a ski slope for your senior project, jk. The boys had a blast sledding. Thank you Grandpa for pulling them to get some speed, then Bower took over. Disclaimer; this is my first video editing so don't laugh.

Lucas turned one on Dec 18th. He shared a birthday party with Miles, Carleen and Briaunna (Val, Caison and Lauryn weren't there but they have birthdays in the first part Dec too). Then on his true birthday we celebrated again. He didn't get a fun cake because we were baking goodies the day of his birthday and I was pooped out.

The first cake is Jell O cake. It is Ryan's favorite cake and traditionally has it every year for his birthday. I have also started the tradition of using it for 1st birthdays since it is easy to clean up due to no greasy frosting, just cool whip.

So I am way behind in my posts!
This year was the first year (in 9 1/2 years of marriage) that I did some baking for Christmas. Ryan did help. He did an awesome job with the chocolate & butterscotch peanut clusters and dipped treats (he is much better and more creative then I when it comes to cooking). 
Pumpkin chocolate chip, raspberry thumbprint, white chocolate peppermint pretzels, milk chocolate pretzel sticks, semisweet & butterscotch peanut clusters and chocolate chip peppermint bark

One morning Miles came out of his room after getting dressed and said, "like this Mom" (he asks to make sure he got dressed right)? All I could do was laugh, then I felt bad because he was embarrassed.

Evan is in the stage of deep thinking (for a 5 year old), like how did Jesus make the radio, computers and TV work. Or how other people were born before Jesus, and many other questions. His deep thoughts are usually exercised at dinner time. The other night (being a true boy and into good guys and bad guys) he asked,
"Mom why do good guys turn into bad guys?" Well, I said. "Sometimes good guys don't choose the right?" "But why do they not choose the right", he asked. "Because they don't listen to the holy ghost. The Holy Ghost helps us choose the right." I answered. "Ooohhh", he understood.
I truly hope he continues to understand.

Miles finally turned 3 on Nov 30th we were driving home from Spokane that day so we stopped at Dairy Queen to have a quick lunch and let Miles pick out any ice cream that he wanted. He chose the ice cream with bananas (as he called it). Ryan helped him a little but Miles almost ate the whole thing (I upset at myself for not getting a picture).
